MHADA Pune Lottery Allots 634 Tathawade Phase 2 Homes Through Transparent Computerized Draw
Tathawade Housing Project Offers More Affordable Home Opportunities
The Pune Housing and Area Development Board of MHADA conducted a computerized lottery for 634 remaining homes in Phase 2 of the Tathawade housing project. The draw was held remotely in the presence of Housing Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar and senior MHADA officials, giving eligible applicants another opportunity to secure affordable housing in Pune.
Modern Facilities Planned for Residents
The Tathawade Phase 2 project combines affordable housing with several modern amenities. Each home includes one four-wheeler parking space, while the project also features a swimming pool, clubhouse, indoor games area, children's play zone, open gym and EV charging facilities.
Solar power and rainwater harvesting systems are also part of the development, supporting a more sustainable residential environment. Commercial shops are being developed separately within the project.
643 Homes Included in the Latest Draw
The latest lottery covered 9 Low Income Group homes and 634 Middle Income Group homes. A total of 493 applications were received for these available units.
Earlier, MHADA had advertised 792 homes under Phase 2. The remaining homes are expected to be offered to eligible applicants through further allotment processes.
Pune Board Expands Affordable Housing Plans
The Pune Board is also preparing additional housing initiatives in the region. Proposed projects include a new development on four acres in Shirur Municipal Council and around 400 affordable homes near Chakan MIDC at Kharbawadi.
Redevelopment of older MHADA properties could also create additional housing opportunities across the Pune Board's jurisdiction.
Computerized Lottery Keeps Allotment Transparent
MHADA officials highlighted the use of computerized lotteries to make housing allotments fair, transparent and free from human intervention. Sanjeev Jaiswal, Vice President and CEO of MHADA, has been associated with the authority's continued focus on transparent housing processes and wider affordable housing opportunities.
Lottery Streamed Online for Applicants
The Tathawade draw was also streamed live through MHADA's official YouTube channel, allowing applicants to watch the process remotely. The initiative strengthens public access to the computerized allotment system while supporting MHADA's goal of providing affordable and well-planned homes to eligible families.
