Proposal Involves BMC Sports Complex and MHADA Plots

A proposal to allot selected BMC and MHADA-owned land and sports facilities to Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal has sparked public discussion over the balance between preserving public assets and expanding educational sports infrastructure. The proposal includes the 12-acre Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex in Andheri West, which BMC plans to transfer under a 10-year Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
